This is necessary for the reasons stated below.

To protect shareholders’ privacy, and help prevent misuse of confidential information, effective November 14, 2008, the Board approved a change to CVOC’s House Rules.  In addition, a “Terms and Conditions” requirement has been added to our web site registration form.

“CVOC may from time to time establish and maintain various online services, including but not limited to websites, directories, email lists, electronic forums, online communities, online message boards, newsgroups, chat rooms, Wikis, blogs, pages at group sites, and/or other interactive electronic forum (collectively “Electronic Community”) that can be accessed, used and contributed to by residents.   Use of the Electronic Community is a privilege, subject and conditioned upon CVOC Terms and Conditions of Use of the Electronic Community, as the same may be amended from time to time, and is strictly for personal and social use.  No soliciting, fundraising, sales, flaming, blast emails, politicking, campaigning, or vote or proxy solicitation shall be permitted by residents within the Electronic Community.  Any violation of the CVOC Terms and Conditions of Use of the Electronic Community, or any abuses or misuses of the Electronic Community shall be a breach of the House Rules, resulting in the loss of this privilege, the imposition of fines or the imposition of such other remedies as are appropriate and/or available.”
