CASTLE VILLAGE ANNUAL PARTY
September 7, 2008
A DAY TO GIVE THANKS
Thank you to Hanna for your brief visit. You gave us the water we needed and left in time to allow us to have our day in sunshine.
Thanks to our contractors who got it done just in time for us to be able to open the new childrens’ playground. * After many long years of waiting, our cottages are part of and connected to our beautiful grounds. Thank you for your patience.
Thanks to the Event Planning Committee, ably chaired by Renee Colwell, for all the work and worrying about making this day special.
Thanks to CC Blackburn for doing a great job arranging for the bake sale. She was ably assisted by a band of little budding entrepreneurs including her son Henry who single-handedly manned the cash box and by her husband Burt who did some excellent cooking. And while we’re at it, thanks to all the shareholders who contributed their favorite deserts and other comestibles. What remained after everyone was sated was offered to our staff. We understand that it disappeared in record time.
Thanks to Jo Ann Cunningham, our “entertainment director”, for arranging the wonderful music: The kids were entertained by Daniel Licardo who played and sang beautifully, later the adults were mesmerized by the music and singing of David Tancredi and Bob Luke. Thanks to all.
Thanks to Heidi Seroy and all the parents who participated in arranging the kids’ events. What a happy bunch. Perhaps the boys will hit the gym so that next year they’ll stand a chance against the girls in the tug-o-war.
Thanks to Roland and Louise Katz for once more ably manning the T-shirt and commemorative brick table. **
Thanks to our wonderful staff, Frank Nadal and his merry band of men (and women) who worked tirelessly the entire day preparing the grounds, cleaning up afterward, manning the drink tables, priming the pumps on the beer kegs and for being the great crew they always are.
Thanks to Bri and Bob Matsuoka who have done a fantastic job on our new web site. The site “Castlevillage.org”, while still in its formative stages, is available for all to view. We are confident that it will grow to become a most important communications vehicle for Castle Village.
And a special thank you to our Castle Village family for supporting us as we continue to try to make our community better.
Your Castle Village Board of Directors

A few “timbers” that surround the sand are on order.
-
The fence needs to be secured and is missing its gates.
-
Trees will be planted in a few weeks.

The timer on the spray feature for the little ones needs adjusting.
-
The new sod is very soft so please refrain from walking on it.
**COMMEMORATIVE BRICKS:
To date we have orders for approximately 65 commemorative bricks.
We plan to place our first order very soon,
Therefore, shareholders wishing to order commemorative bricks should please do so as soon as possible.
Subsequent orders will be batched so there will likely be a delay of several months before the next order is filled.
